General Terms and Conditions of Oude Rijn Dentists

These general terms and conditions apply to all services of Oude Rijn dentists, located in Alphen aan den Rijn and Leiden.

By using our services, you agree to the terms and conditions below.

1. Cancel or change appointment

If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. This allows us to offer the freed-up time to another patient.

  • Late cancellationIf you do not cancel or change an appointment at least 48 hours in advance, we reserve the right to invoice you for the reserved time. This invoice will be charged per 5 minutes, up to a maximum of the rate that could reasonably have been charged.
  • Failure to appear for an appointmentIf you fail to show up for your appointment without canceling, we reserve the right to send an invoice for the reserved time. The amount of this invoice will be determined based on the scheduled treatment(s) and the duration of the reserved time. Missing an appointment may incur additional costs because the time was not used for other patients. If you repeatedly fail to show up for an appointment without canceling, we may conclude that a relationship of trust cannot exist and will proceed with deregistration.

2. No rights to memories

As a courtesy, Oude Rijn dentists sends email and text reminders to our patients to remind them of their appointments. However, no rights can be derived from this. Receiving a reminder does not release you from the obligation to keep your appointments yourself. You remain responsible for arriving on time at your scheduled appointment, even if you haven't received a reminder.

3. Billing via Infomedics

Infomedics handles our invoices. This means you will receive your treatment bill directly from Infomedics. Depending on your policy terms, Infomedics can submit the claim directly to your health insurer. However, you remain responsible for paying the invoice at all times, regardless of your health insurance coverage.

You can also pay directly by debit card, credit card, or cash. For questions about billing or payments, please contact Infomedics directly through their customer service or website.

4. Payment terms

Invoices sent by Infomedics must be paid within the specified payment deadline. In the event of late payment, Infomedics may charge collection fees, in accordance with legal guidelines.

In the event of late payment, we reserve the right to suspend further treatments until the outstanding amount is settled, unless it concerns urgent care. In that case, payment must be made by PIN or cash immediately after the treatment is completed.

5. Transfer of patient file

If you decide to switch to a different dental practice, you are responsible for requesting your medical records. Oude Rijn Dentists will not automatically transfer your records to your new healthcare provider due to applicable privacy legislation. You can submit a request in writing or by email to request your records, after which we will provide them to you or your new dentist, provided you give your explicit consent.

6. Changes

Oude Rijn Tandartsen reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be announced on our website or by email. We recommend that you consult the terms and conditions regularly to stay informed of any changes.
