The historic building has a rich history. Built in 1894 as a bread factory, it housed the cooperative "De Vooruit" for many years. Not only was bread produced here, but it also supported the community through an insurance fund and a cooperative store. The facade still proudly bears the name "CERES," a tangible reminder of this past.

The building has recently been renovated with great care and attention, fully in accordance with the latest insights in comfort, sustainability, and functionality—and with respect for its historic character.
