Hoe wit kunnen mijn tanden worden?

Van tevoren is niet te voorspellen hoe wit uw gebit zal worden. Dit is van vele factoren afhankelijk zoals je eet- en drinkgewoonten, de basiskleur van gebit (die tevens genetisch bepaald is), of je rookt en hoe ‘dik’ je glazuur is. Ik heb zelf bleekgel online gekocht, kan ik deze gebruiken?

Feitelijk zijn alle bleekgels die meer dan 0,1% waterstofperoxide bevatten verboden om verkocht te worden door iemand anders dan een tandarts. 0,1% is te weinig om een verschil op te gaan merken. Andere middelen kunnen onnodig schurend of zelfs schadelijk voor je gebit zijn. Alleen waterstofperoxide en waterstofcarbamide die door een tandarts worden verstrekt zijn wetenschappelijk bewezen en veilig.

Kan ik gevoelige tanden krijgen? Is tanden bleken schadelijk?

Tanden bleken is NIET schadelijk, mits de instructies goed worden nageleefd. Er kan wel sprake zijn van een toename in gevoeligheid voor koude dranken, echter neemt deze gevoeligheid ALTIJD weer af. Wij kunnen tevens adviseren in tandpasta’s die gevoeligheid tegengaan. Er gebeurt niks met de structuur van je glazuur. Bleken is dus gegarandeerd veilig.

Kan ik altijd tanden bleken?

Tanden bleken kan eigenlijk altijd. Het kan echter zo zijn dat er reeds bestaande kronen en vullingen bij uw voortanden zijn gemaakt. Deze zullen niet meekleuren, want die kleur blijft hetzelfde. Vooraf wordt er daarom goed bekeken of bleken in uw geval mogelijk is.

However, we can guarantee that we can achieve the maximum whiteness achievable for your teeth.

I bought some whitening gel online, can I use it?

In fact, all whitening gels containing more than 0.1% hydrogen peroxide are prohibited from being sold by anyone other than a dentist. 0.1% is too low to notice a difference. Other products can be unnecessarily abrasive or even harmful to your teeth. Only hydrogen peroxide and hydrogen carbamide dispensed by a dentist are scientifically proven and safe.

Can I get sensitive teeth? Is teeth whitening harmful?
